Belgian waffles - Liege
- 1kg of flour
- 400g of butter
- 500g of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 100g of fresh baker’s yeast
- warm milk
- vanilla sugar or cinnamon
Pre-heat the Roller Grill waffle iron during 15min:
- Plug in the waffle machine.
- Select the thermostat-commutator on 220°C.
- Keep the waffle machine closed during preheating time.
Prepare the waffle batter:
Make the butter melt in a saucepan. In a bowl pour the flour. Add the baker’s yeast (mixed before with a little warm milk). Then add the eggs, the melted butter, the vanilla sugar and sugar. If the dough is hard to mix, add some milk. Let the dough rise, divide it in some small patties of dough. Let the patties of dough rise.
Cook the waffles:
Open the waffle iron and lay some grease in the moulds of both bottom and upper plates. Pour the batter into the moulds of the bottom plate. Close the waffle iron. Baking time: 2'30 min at 220°C.
After 3 min baking time, open the waffle machine and remove the crusty gold waffles with the specific waffle fork.
You can add some sugar, honey, chocolate etc. Enjoy your meal !
